Capable of removing up to 3.8 pints of moisture from the air every day, the Black and Decker BPACT08WT is effective at tackling moderate damp. With 8,000 BTUs of cooling power, this appliance is most effective in living spaces of 300 square feet. However, we would not advise attempting to install this unit in larger spaces, as unit efficiency may suffer. While not the most efficient or powerful unit on the market, we certainly believe this unit to be effective at what it does. Not everyone needs a 14,000 BTU unit or a product with ceiling breaking EER scorings. The Black and Decker BPACT08WT is a sure-fire way to bring a refreshing breeze to your home when you’re suffering in the depths of the mid-Summer heat. In addition, the added Dehumidifier capacity will come in exceptionally handy if you’re worried about excessive humidity, although if you live in an environment that suffers from extreme humidity, we would advise looking a little up-market, as this unit will only take the edge off the stuffy air.
